Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead 6–21 month product development programs using the SBD Phase Gate process based on customer CTQs.
  • •Provide design leadership, technical direction, and project scheduling; prepare feasibility/lean studies including competitive research and budget planning.
  • •Create working 3D CAD models, build physical prototypes, and maintain engineering documentation (BOMs, 2D drawings, test plans, specifications).
  • •Develop testing equipment/procedures and perform hands-on/robotic testing; sample, evaluate products, analyze test data, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product performance and manufacturing processes; support DFMEA/PFMEA, design reviews, and customer-facing site visits.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • •3+ years of related experience in product design or manufacturing.
  • •4+ years designing using 3D/2D CAD (CATIA preferred) with knowledge of GD&T.
  • •Knowledge of cutting tool applications/material properties and metal fabrication processes, including heat treat and tempering.
  • •Comfort with hands-on testing in an industrial environment and creating project schedules/action trackers to meet timelines.
