Job Summary

Troubleshoot and maintain large mining and related equipment at Red Dog, handling tasks across power transmission, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and braking. Diagnose, dismantle, assemble, and align heavy mobile equipment, complete preventative maintenance, and document accurate work closure details. Coordinate with operators, engineering, trades, and supervision, and follow safety procedures including MSHA and Red Dog EMS training. Work an even rotation (2/2 or 3/3) with fly-in/fly-out access.

Key Responsibilities

•Inspect and examine mobile equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
•Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and braking systems.
•Diagnose, dismantle, assemble, and align heavy mobile equipment (dozers, graders, haulage trucks, loaders).
•Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, including lubrication and seal replacement.
•Maintain accurate work order documentation and coordinate with operators, engineering, trades, and supervision to prioritize daily work and ensure safety.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED equivalent.
•Journeyperson Heavy-Duty/Heavy-Equipment Mechanic certification or 7+ years of heavy industrial maintenance experience diagnosing, dismantling, assembling, and aligning heavy mobile equipment.
•Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
•Adhere to high safety standards and follow safety policies and procedures.
•Ability to work day, afternoon, or night shifts and work outdoors in extreme climatic conditions.
