Job Summary

Work onsite in Rockford, IL supporting aerospace and defense Power and Controls hardware. Troubleshoot electrical hardware issues tied to field/Zero Hour returns and production yield, analyze alternate parts for obsolescence/part shortage impacts, and interpret schematics, manuals, and datasheets to drive issue resolution. Assist with schematic updates and design reviews, perform basic design analyses, and support/ debug production test equipment for the Test Equipment team.

Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical hardware issues related to field returns, Zero Hour returns, and production yield problems.
•Analyze alternate parts and write justification memos to support obsolescence and part shortage mitigation.
•Review and interpret electrical schematics, product manuals, and component datasheets to support investigations and issue resolution.
•Assist with schematic updates and design reviews following department standards; perform basic design analyses per requirements and specifications.
•Support as cognizant engineer for the product Test Equipment team, debugging production test equipment as needed, and contribute to redesign initiatives for cost and product improvement.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) obtained prior to start.
