Job Summary

Support WHO AFRO Member States in institutionalizing community engagement through REACH-AFRICA. Translate regional commitments into accessible storytelling tools, produce a podcast series, and create Community Dialogues on Wheels using multimedia content that elevates frontline experiences and two-way dialogue. Plan, record, edit, and disseminate episodes and pulses across WHO networks, manage REACH connect, and deliver an end-of-assignment report with recommendations and lessons learned.

Key Responsibilities

•Translate regional commitments into accessible tools and narratives (podcast prompts, story cards, mobile toolkits) for community actors.
•Produce and disseminate a podcast series using storytelling, mobile dialogues, and multimedia content to strengthen two-way accountability.
•Produce and disseminate at least 15 preparedness pulses to enhance early community response capacities across member states and partners.
•Conduct and disseminate Community Dialogues on Wheels (EngageMobile) in 5 countries, bringing national and local decision-makers face-to-face with frontline realities.
•Manage end-to-end production and REACH-AFRICA initiative deliverables (planning, scheduling, recording, editing, publishing) and document an end-of-assignment report with recommendations and lessons learned.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communication, journalism, media production, or related fields (or equivalent professional experience).
•At least 3–5 years’ experience in audio/video production, podcasting, community engagement, or similar roles.
•Portfolio of previous podcasts, audio content, or community dialogue outputs.
•Proven experience producing multilingual or cross-cultural podcasts, including audio recording, editing, mixing, and mastering.
•Proficiency with audio production tools (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Hindenburg) and ability to set up and manage podcasting equipment.
