Provide senior technical expertise to modernize and implement wired network distribution systems supporting Air Force and Space Force bases. Lead survey, planning, execution, testing, and sustainment activities on site at Eielson Air Force Base, coordinating with government stakeholders and base counterparts. Support end-to-end fiber testing (including OTDR and power meters), update as-built documentation, coach less-experienced field engineers, and contribute to ISP/OSP design recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide solutions and guidance to less experienced field engineers and lead implementation teams or specific scopes at site locations.
•Support survey and implementation efforts, coordinating planning, execution, testing, and sustainment of wired network functionality.
•Conduct end-to-end fiber optic cable testing using OTDR, power meters, and related tools; report findings and resolve issues that halt progress.
•Provide technical input into distribution systems design (ISP/OSP) and make recommendations to program and operations teams.
•Coordinate with Government Points of Contact (POCs) for design, installation, base access/clearance/escorts, and communicate with stakeholders to keep project timelines on track.

Key Requirements

•BA/BS degree with 5+ years of related DS Engineering experience, ideally in DOW environments on IT upgrade projects.
•Active Secret clearance (must currently possess).
•Experience providing technical guidance for distribution systems and wired network implementation.
•Familiarity with distribution systems (ISP/OSP) design and supporting implementation documentation (as-built diagrams, rack elevations, connectivity matrices).
•Ability to support end-to-end fiber optic testing (OTDR, power meters) and understand wired and general IT functions.
