Key Responsibilities

•Set and champion technical direction for low-latency, highly scalable, event-based integrations with strong observability and maintainable code patterns.
•Develop and evolve backend-heavy systems, including the public API and integrations with healthcare information networks and third parties.
•Drive end-to-end projects from ideation to production rollout, including writing design documents and iterating to v1 and beyond.
•Eventually lead a group of engineers by delegating work, unblocking teammates, and owning delivery while staying hands-on in code.
•Multiply team output via mentoring, reviewing designs/PRs, balancing quality vs. speed, and improving dev processes and tooling; participate in planning/retros and on-call rotation.

•Track record of improving engineering team speed through developer experience, testability, and shorter release cycles.
•Located in San Francisco/Bay Area (or willing to relocate).
