Job Summary

Lead the bank’s approach to technology risk, third-party risk, and operational resilience as part of the Second Line of Defence. Oversee non-financial risk identification, assessment, and management across outsourcing and critical technology services, including vendor risk assessments, scenario testing, and remediation of resilience gaps. Drive business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management frameworks, and provide risk reporting and governance support aligned to regulatory requirements and internal policy.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee technology risk management by providing subject matter expertise and conducting Second Line oversight of technology risks, controls, and issues.
•Provide oversight of outsourcing and third-party risk management, including vendor risk assessments (onboarding, periodic reviews, ongoing monitoring) and ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.
•Lead development and embedding of the operational resilience framework, including identifying critical business services/functions, mapping dependencies, and conducting scenario testing.
•Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery frameworks, ensuring regular testing and coordinating crisis management activities (response, escalation, communication).
•Develop and deliver risk reporting and key indicators to support management and Board decision-making, monitoring against the Risk Appetite Statement and supporting risk governance committee actions.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 12 years of risk management experience in banking, focused on non-financial risks (Operational Risk, Technology Risk, Third-Party Risk, or Resilience) with hands-on exposure to technology risk and third-party risk management.
•5–7 years of managerial or leadership experience.
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related discipline; MBA or master’s degree is highly desirable.
•Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including Basel, PRA, UAE Central Bank, and outsourcing and operational resilience guidelines.
•Proven ability to develop and implement risk frameworks (risk appetite, dashboards, control assurance) and experience implementing or using GRC systems and risk reporting tools.
