Job Summary

Install and troubleshoot audio-visual systems for contracted AVI-SPL projects, including cabling, terminations, rack fabrication/wiring, and system equipment setup. Lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects, interpret schematics and blueprints, perform point-to-point testing, and manage jobsite tools and equipment. Serve as a customer liaison, coordinate changes with the Project Manager, collaborate with other trades, and travel to customer sites as needed.

•Perform AV installation tasks including cable pulls/terminations, system equipment/components installation, and rack fabrication/wiring.
•Lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects while coordinating and reporting progress to the Project Manager.
•Read and interpret system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints.
•Use hand and power tools to solder/crimp connectors and test point-to-point cabling functionality.
•Serve as a customer liaison on site, coordinate with other trades, and communicate daily job site status; travel to various job sites as required.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 2–4 years of audiovisual installation experience.
•Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record meeting AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards.
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Intermediate proficiency installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) and wiring methods (conduit runs, cable trays).
•Intermediate understanding of network infrastructure integration with AV systems (IP-based systems, streaming, cloud-based services).
