Job Summary

Support the Safety & Environmental Manager with workplace safety inspections, behavioral-based safety activities, and follow-through on findings using corrective actions. Help manage contractor safety induction and Permit To Work (PTW) requirements, and implement plant incident management, first-aid and emergency equipment readiness. Provide first aid for minor ailments and injuries, coordinate emergency evacuation drills, and help ensure safe designs for new machinery and plant layouts while delivering basic safety training and briefings.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in scheduled safety inspections (night/day) using workplace inspection and behavioral-based safety; coordinate with departments to close findings with effective corrective actions.
•Inspect facility areas for unsafe/unhealthy conditions, initiate corrective actions, and ensure safety of personnel and company property.
•Support contractor management including safety induction and Permit To Work (PTW) management, monitoring contractor adherence to safety and health requirements.
•Implement plant-level incident management standards, manage first-aid rooms and equipment, and inspect emergency equipment including SCBA, AED, and emergency assembly equipment.
•Provide first aid and emergency care during night shift, conduct emergency evacuation drills, promote safety programs, and support safety training/briefings and safety reviews for new machinery and plant layouts.

Key Requirements

•Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, or attending a Safety and Health Officer Course or OSH Coordinator program.
•Preferably 1–5 years of experience in contractor management or incident management.
•Registered OSH Coordinator is an advantage.
•At least 1–3 years involvement in manufacturing.
•Very good English and Malay (spoken and written). Nepal or Bangladesh language is an advantage.
