Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the engineering department’s senior representative on site and primary focal point for field engineering matters during construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.
  • •Lead and supervise discipline engineers assigned to site, coordinating specialist vendor and supplier engineers supporting construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
  • •Establish and manage the site engineering function, ensuring adequate engineering resources, technical support, and engineering governance throughout execution.
  • •Provide technical leadership and guidance on engineering design intent, specifications, construction methodology, and field implementation; resolve constructability and design conflicts.
  • •Lead delivery against planned work scopes by managing field engineering queries and engineering changes via approved change control, while maintaining marked-up master drawings and engineering records reflecting approved modifications.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • •Minimum 10 years of practical construction experience in a relevant industry sector.
  • •Excellent technical knowledge of construction and procurement discipline, including expert understanding of technical specifications.
  • •Ability to identify risks to delivery and implement mitigation/contingency plans.
  • •Advanced knowledge of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS), and Hazard Identification Studies (HAZIDS).
