Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for a specific product using the approved supplier list.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development activities such as concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost/clean-sheet models, and joint design development.
  • •Consolidate and manage the manufacturing BOM with Quality & Manufacturing to ramp production with internal teams and suppliers.
  • •Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and complete BOM risk assessment, including alternate component sourcing and qualification ahead of production.
  • •Lead cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve and reduce complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization; manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation.

Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • •6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
  • •Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Ability to travel 10%–40% of the time, variable based on program needs.
  • •Ability to relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA if not already local.
