Job Summary

Provide technical leadership for groundwater data management, analysis, and reporting for the Simandou Project’s Water Management team in Guinea. Own groundwater data governance and QA/QC, develop monitoring data standards, and integrate data from networks, telemetry, and contractors into central databases and dashboards. Translate complex datasets into decision-ready insights for operational, environmental, and regulatory outcomes, while mentoring others and supporting hydrogeological field studies and aquifer testing.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead groundwater data management systems with robust data governance and version control across multiple groundwater data sources.
•Perform groundwater data QA/QC, including validation, error resolution, and documentation of data workflows.
•Develop and maintain groundwater monitoring data standards, including collection, transformations, naming conventions, and data handling procedures.
•Integrate groundwater monitoring and telemetry data (and contractor inputs) into centralised databases and ensure datasets are fit-for-purpose for operational decisions and dashboards.
•Drive analysis and reporting by interpreting groundwater datasets to identify trends, anomalies, emerging risks, and performance against triggers, and deliver weekly/monthly reporting and dashboards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Mining Engineering, or Geosciences (or similar).
•Minimum 10 years of hydrogeological experience with a strong focus on groundwater data management.
•Experience managing groundwater data systems and QA/QC, including validation, error resolution, and workflow documentation.
•Familiarity with open pit mine operations, preferably in remote or international settings.
•Manual class drivers’ licence.
