Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver environmental toxicological risk assessments and communicate key safety risks to support the product pipeline.
  • •Provide environmental safety input across new/existing product development and external issue management, including ERAs for medicinal products in line with regulations and company guidelines.
  • •Develop and maintain programmes to ensure environmental safety and regulatory compliance across raw materials, products, packaging, and devices.
  • •Oversee external environmental toxicity studies and establish robust governance for timely, high-quality safety outputs.
  • •Train, mentor, and build capability within the environmental toxicology team; collaborate cross-functionally and represent the company with internal/external stakeholders as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •BSc and preferably higher degree in Ecotoxicology, Environmental Toxicology, Toxicology or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • •Write environmental risk assessments (ERAs) for human medicinal products, including data interpretation and tools such as QSAR, EUSES, and CHESAR.
  • •Strong working knowledge of relevant environmental toxicology regulations and ability to manage environmental toxicology projects end-to-end.
  • •Proven experience overseeing monitoring of ecotoxicological studies and handling regulatory submissions, including responding to authorities’ questions.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication in English, with strong collaboration and the ability to train and mentor teams.
