Job Summary

Lead safe, efficient, cost-effective equipment maintenance operations by overseeing shop activities and maintenance teams across multiple locations. Build preventive maintenance programs to improve fleet reliability and equipment uptime, manage vendor and outsourced repair relationships, and monitor productivity using performance metrics and visual management tools. Partner with operations leaders on equipment needs, planning, forecasting, and fleet optimization to support production goals and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

•Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with company, OSHA, and/or MSHA requirements.
•Oversee shop operations and maintenance activities to deliver timely, high-quality repairs and preventive maintenance.
•Lead, coach, and develop shop foremen, lead technicians, and maintenance personnel; conduct performance discussions and feedback.
•Manage vendor relationships and outsourced repair programs; review and approve purchases per procurement policies.
•Monitor shop productivity using activity reviews, performance metrics, and visual management tools; ensure maintenance documentation and labor hour reviews/approvals.

Key Requirements

•Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
•Minimum of 5 years of maintenance shop management, fleet management, or equipment leadership experience.
•Strong leadership and team development experience managing supervisors, leads, and technicians.
•Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, repair processes, and equipment management best practices.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain driving privileges in accordance with company standards.
