Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide electrical engineering design consultancy across transmission and distribution projects from concept through detailed design.
  • •Perform High Voltage Power Systems Analysis, Cabling, Substations, and Transmission & Distribution Infrastructure design.
  • •Contribute to System Balancing, Protection Systems, SCADA, Communications, and Converter Station Design including HVDC and interconnectors.
  • •Engage with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and sub-contractors to discuss technical issues and capture feedback.
  • •Support UK grid modernisation efforts and the Great Grid Programme, contributing to energy transition and net zero goals.

Key Requirements

  • •Electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification (HNC/HND, BSc/BEng and/or MSc/MEng).
  • •Demonstrable electrical engineering design consultancy experience on transmission and distribution projects.
  • •Working knowledge of BS and/or Eurocodes for relevant engineering design standards.
  • •Effective communication with internal/external clients and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • •Aptitude to discuss technical issues, capture feedback and engage with clients, colleagues and sub-contractors.
