Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate SMBC EU’s transition to direct ECB supervision through onboarding activities, regulatory workstreams, and interactions with supervisory authorities.
  • •Support the ongoing management of the ECB supervisory framework, including coordination of supervisory priorities, follow-up actions, and recurring obligations.
  • •Coordinate day-to-day interactions with other regulatory authorities, including the SRB and National Competent Authorities.
  • •Manage and track regulatory requests, supervisory enquiries, deliverables, and reporting obligations to ensure timely submissions.
  • •Support inspections, stress testing, questionnaires, and other ad hoc supervisory initiatives, including gatekeeper quality assurance for regulatory communications and preparing materials for senior stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in Law, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • •Minimum 2 years of experience in banking, regulatory affairs, compliance, risk management, regulatory reporting, or another regulated financial services environment.
  • •Understanding of European banking regulation and supervisory frameworks, including knowledge of ECB, SRB, or National Competent Authority interactions.
  • •Experience coordinating deliverables across multiple stakeholders and managing deadlines in a complex organisational environment.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for professional reports, presentations, and regulatory documentation.
