Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as a real member of the team, participating in discussions, decisions, and the technical design process.
  • •Write software used in production that has meaningful impact to Stripe’s business and users.
  • •Provide and receive technical feedback through code reviews and design discussions.
  • •Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to seek and incorporate feedback.
  • •Contribute to high-quality work at scale while using AI tooling and communicating progress clearly.

Key Requirements

  • •Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, math, or a related discipline with a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
  • •Experience with programming through side projects or classwork; familiarity with Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, and/or Scala is preferred.
  • •Completed internships, multi-person projects, or open source contributions that demonstrate learning from feedback from mentors, peers, and stakeholders.
  • •Ability to learn unfamiliar systems through independent research and working with a mentor or subject matter experts.
  • •Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate development while applying critical thinking and professional judgment to review and validate outputs.
