Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan, execute, and document laboratory assessments of hardware, software, and configuration changes impacting the DLA network across cloud, core, and remote sites.
  • •Develop and coordinate Technology Assessment Plans and change documentation (CIP and ECR) with government customers.
  • •Evaluate emerging security solutions and traffic-management technologies, and define evaluation criteria and testing methods.
  • •Produce After Action Reports and executive-level engineering documentation, including recommendations.
  • •Plan and track implementation tasks (network maps, designs, test plans, ORT reports, device configurations) and support interoperability between DLA WAN and DISN networks.

Key Requirements

  • •Active Secret clearance with SSBI (Tier 5) or Top-Secret clearance.
  • •Minimum of 3 years of relevant network engineering experience.
  • •Required certifications: CCNA and IAT Level II compliant certification (Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GSEC, CCNA Security, CND, or GICSP).
  • •Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols including OSPF, BGP, and MPLS, plus routing/switching and STIG compliance.
  • •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
