Job Summary

Lead NBIS bridge and NTIS tunnel inspections and manage inspection reporting, coordinating with project managers, TEC Leads, clients, subconsultants, vendors, and stakeholders. Oversee data collection and structural/civil engineering analysis across project phases, develop construction plans/specs/cost estimates, and guide larger-scale structural projects with budgets and subcontractor oversight. Mentor local inspection staff, ensure QA/QC and safety, and deliver technical reports and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform NBIS bridge and NTIS tunnel inspections and prepare required inspection reports.
•Collect, compile, and analyze site and engineering data (surveys, blueprints, GIS, geotechnical, hydrologic) to support project development, design, and construction.
•Apply structural and civil engineering techniques to investigate site conditions and ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, and permits.
•Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, safety and phasing plans, and update infrastructure layout plans in coordination with stakeholders.
•Oversee local inspection staff, mentor junior team members, and lead larger-scale structural projects including budgets, hours/expenses, and subcontractor supervision.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
•Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred; PE required).
•Minimum 10 years of experience performing bridge inspections and structural assessments.
•Experience performing inspections in accordance with NBIS and NTIS.
•Experience planning and coordinating bridge inspection field activities, including scheduling personnel and coordinating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
