Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely while meeting production and quality goals.
  • •Oversee day-to-day activities of the assigned team, identifying strengths/weaknesses and areas for improvement.
  • •Engage team members through coaching, development, feedback, and performance management to ensure adherence to expectations and goals.
  • •Review and approve mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory; partner with the General Manager to repair or reject inventory based on estimated repair cost and overall quality.
  • •Train associates using Quality Control standards to complete repairs effectively the first time, minimizing re-checks, delays, and re-work.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
  • •Experience using computers.
  • •Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas of Carvana’s reconditioning process, and understanding of current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
  • •Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUIs, and no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years).
  • •Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for extended periods in a potentially harsh shop environment, and work overtime and weekends.
