Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and execute a long-term roadmap for core backend services with high availability, low latency, massive scalability, and end-to-end product security.
  • •Champion Security-by-Design and Default-to-Secure across the SDLC; partner with Information Security teams to define threat models and secure design standards.
  • •Manage vulnerability and risk lifecycle: threat modeling, SAST/DAST, dependency scanning, penetration testing remediation, bug bounty resolutions, and incident response.
  • •Drive cross-functional security alignment across engineering Clouds and architecture councils, integrating security policies, encryption protocols, and enterprise identity standards.
  • •Hire, develop, and retain a security organization of 15–40+ engineers and build a Security Champions program for threat modeling and secure code reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a significant engineering leadership role (Manager of Managers preferred for Sr. Director).
  • •Proven record architecting and embedding application/product security controls (OWASP Top 10, OAuth/SAML, cryptography standards, data privacy, secure containerization/Kubernetes security).
  • •Experience securing AI models and LLM integrations, including preventing prompt injection and data leakage.
  • •Proven experience building, securing, and operating large-scale distributed systems under a strict Zero Trust framework.
  • •Hands-on participation in high-level design reviews, security architecture audits, and bottleneck troubleshooting using Java, Golang, and Python.
