Job Summary

Manage customer credit risk and working capital to protect revenue and cash flow. Develop and maintain credit risk policies, assess customer creditworthiness, set and approve credit limits and terms, and monitor exposure and debtor aging. Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Commercial Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain to improve collections and reduce overdue balances, while providing governance reporting and supporting internal/external audits. Coach credit controllers and finance team members to strengthen credit management capability.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, implement, and maintain credit risk policies and procedures aligned to company and group standards.
•Assess customer creditworthiness using financial analysis, market intelligence, and internal sales data; review and approve credit limits, payment terms, and guarantees.
•Continuously monitor credit exposure, debtor aging, and risk concentrations across routes to market.
•Partner with Sales and Customer Service to ensure timely collections, reduce aging and bad debt provisions, and recommend corrective actions for high-risk/delinquent customers.
•Prepare regular credit risk and receivables performance reports, monitor compliance with internal controls/audit requirements, and support internal/external audits; coach credit controllers and finance team members.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or related field.
•Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
•Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in credit risk management, accounts receivable, or commercial finance.
•Proven experience in FMCG, beverage, or distribution-intensive environments.
•Strong understanding of Tanzanian market dynamics and customer credit behavior.
