Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, automation, and instrumentation systems onboard the cutter suction dredger.
  • •Ensure safe and reliable operation of power generation, power distribution, dredging electrical systems, propulsion auxiliaries, and vessel automation.
  • •Carry out planned preventive maintenance and corrective repairs according to the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
  • •Diagnose and rectify faults on PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, switchboards, generators, motors, sensors, alarms, and control systems.
  • •Maintain emergency electrical systems and UPS units, and keep accurate maintenance records, electrical drawings, calibration records, and spare parts inventory. Work with Chief Engineer, Dredge Master, and deck/engine departments to support continuous operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics & automation engineering.
  • •5-10 years' experience on a dredger or in heavy industries with automation.
  • •Basic STCW training certification with a medical fitness certificate.
  • •Maintain and execute preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in line with the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
  • •Apply Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), and electrical isolation procedures before maintenance activities.
