Job Summary

Lead and scale HelloFresh's Global Payments Engineering to deliver reliable, compliant, high-throughput payment infrastructure across multiple markets. Key Responsibilities

•Lead three engineering squads comprising 20-25 engineers across Warsaw and Berlin, including Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers
•Own the GenAI transformation of the Payments Tribe by defining a roadmap for AI-native development, AI-assisted workflows, and LLM-powered tooling
•Own the availability and reliability of the payment infrastructure by driving SRE practices, incident management, SLOs/SLIs, and on-call maturity
•Set technical direction across Golang, Kotlin, PostgreSQL, Kafka, React, and React Native services on AWS to meet regulatory and compliance requirements
•Partner with Product, Finance, the Growth tribe, and payment service providers to align engineering priorities with business outcomes

Key Requirements

•10+ years in software engineering with 4+ years managing Engineering Managers, including leading distributed teams across offices
•Hands-on experience with AI technologies and a track record of championing GenAI adoption in engineering workflows
•Deep technical expertise in payments domains (processing, gateway services, batch processing, reporting) and hands-on experience with Golang, Kotlin, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and AWS
•Strong systems thinking to design scalable, resilient, high-throughput payment solutions with regulatory compliance in multi-market environments
•Proven leadership with a focus on engineering standards, team health, and cross-functional collaboration across product, finance, and external providers
