Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and drive mechanical systems and platform development from initial concept through low-rate production.
  • •Lead technical efforts to define requirements, propose solutions, and establish methodology for evaluating and verifying mechanical systems.
  • •Partner with electrical and software disciplines to ensure the combined system is reliable, flexible, and cost-effective.
  • •Spearhead design reviews, perform analysis, visit vendors, and prototype while implementing hardware test plans.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of professional engineering experience (non-internship) with exposure to immersive technical project environments.
  • •Proven CAD skills to produce high-quality engineering drawings aligned with common industry standards.
  • •Strong engineering fundamentals in structures, fluids, thermal, and mechanisms.
  • •Experience with MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape and rapid prototyping, including 3D printing knowledge.
  • •BS or MS in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) plus hands-on fabrication skills and ability to travel ~25% (surges possible).
