Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a technical lead and take ownership of hydraulics discipline assignments while coordinating project teams.
  • •Prepare and author hydraulic studies and analyses, including energy production simulations, transient flow analyses, and dam safety assessments.
  • •Conduct feasibility studies, preliminary design, and detailed engineering for hydropower and pumped-storage facilities.
  • •Perform hydraulic and hydrodynamic numerical modelling, including dam breach analyses using 1D, 2D, and 3D models.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 130,000 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Water Resources Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related field.
  • •Registered Professional Engineer and member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), or eligible for registration.
  • •Minimum of 15 years of experience in hydraulic design for hydropower developments, hydraulic modelling, and dam safety engineering.
  • •Strong working knowledge of the HEC software suite (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, etc.).
  • •Fluency in French (written and spoken) and excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
