Job Summary

Join a global AI, IP & Data Privacy legal team and help embed privacy and data protection into T. Rowe Price’s asset management business. You’ll advise product and business initiatives, negotiate and draft privacy and technology contracts, monitor evolving U.S. and global privacy laws, and support AI-related privacy issues. The role also includes leading privacy impact assessments, incident response coordination, and strategic guidance to cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Review and advise on product development and business initiatives to ensure privacy- and security-by-design compliance.
•Negotiate, draft, and review privacy-related contracts including DPAs, data privacy/security addendums, vendor agreements, and AdTech contracts.
•Monitor global regulatory developments and enforcement actions, proactively addressing privacy risks and AI-related privacy issues.
•Lead and support the Global Privacy Office with PIAs/DPIAs, data mapping, and records of processing activities.
•Provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams on privacy legal issues and coordinate responses to privacy and data security incidents.

Key Requirements

•J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
•10+ years of total relevant work experience.
•Deep knowledge of U.S. privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA and other state laws) and familiarity with global privacy frameworks (including GDPR, Singapore PDPA, Hong Kong PDPO, Japan APPI, and Australia Privacy Act 1988).
•Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate complex data or privacy-related contracts and technology contracts.
•Demonstrated experience providing practical legal advice relating to privacy and data protection.
