Job Summary

Lead and manage high-performing engineering teams within the Digital Marketing & Engagement organization, providing technical direction for real-time, mission-critical transaction systems. Drive architecture decisions for the Loyalty platform, focusing on ultra-low latency, high availability, security, observability, performance, and resiliency. Partner with Product, Platform Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Architecture teams to deliver end-to-end capabilities and evolve the platform through modern, cloud-native, event-driven, API-first practices and generative AI.

Key Responsibilities

•Hire, retain, and develop engineering teams focused on real-time, mission-critical transaction systems.
•Provide technical direction and architectural oversight across distributed systems, microservices, and fault-tolerant designs.
•Lead engineering best practices including code reviews and architectural deep dives; ensure quality, security, observability, performance, and resiliency.
•Partner with Product, Platform Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Architecture teams to deliver end-to-end platform capabilities and align on technical strategy.
•Oversee adoption of modern engineering patterns (event-driven, asynchronous, cloud-native, API-first) and champion generative AI to improve development productivity.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or at least 7 years with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 4 years with a PhD, or 13+ years of relevant work experience.
•Provide technical leadership across distributed systems, microservices, and high-throughput transaction processing with fault-tolerant architectures.
•Drive architectural decisions for core Loyalty platform components, ensuring ultra-low latency, high availability, and global scalability.
•Establish engineering best practices through hands-on technical leadership, code reviews, and architectural deep dives across quality, security, observability, performance engineering, and resiliency.
•Integrate generative AI into engineering workflows and experience building and scaling distributed systems or cloud-native platforms (with hands-on Java/Spring, microservices, REST APIs, and modern frontend frameworks like TypeScript/Angular).
