Key Responsibilities

  • •Assure, and where required support, the design of electrical engineering elements for aviation and infrastructure projects delivered by the Infrastructure Department.
  • •Deliver designs and contract documentation in line with programme timelines, quality standards, and budget objectives, adhering to governance and control procedures.
  • •Support projects across the lifecycle from concept and detailed design through construction, commissioning, and handover, managing interfaces, dependencies, and competing priorities.
  • •Provide technical assurance for compliance with codes of practice, ICAO/EASA standards, planning and Building Regulations, fire safety requirements, airport directives, and statutory obligations.
  • •Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, and contribute to airside risk assessments and tender/procurement support as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience delivering aviation infrastructure and other complex engineering projects of similar scale.
  • •Experience acting as a Design Lead on multi-million-euro projects, including technical assurance for review and approval of designs and engineering deliverables.
  • •Strong understanding of safety requirements, operational constraints, and regulatory processes for airside infrastructure.
  • •Proficient use of AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite for design coordination, documentation, reporting, and project management activities.
  • •Proficient use of discipline-specific engineering software relevant to the design, analysis, and delivery of building services and infrastructure projects.
