Job Summary

Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a commercial market, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems on-site. Use HVAC theory, pipe fitting knowledge, mechanical layouts, and blueprints to diagnose and fix equipment. Coordinate with team leaders/project managers and customers, work with internal/external partners on new setups and retrofits, and uphold safety and asset accountability.

•Coordinate with team leaders/project managers and customers to understand on-site installation and repair requirements, forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing work.
•Serve as direct customer contact, responsible for products/equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing systems at the customer’s location.
•Diagnose and repair HVAC units using cutting-edge software/technology, hand tools, and blueprints or engineering specifications.
•Maintain flexibility for overtime and weekend work as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
•Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security/accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) and typically 5+ years of HVAC experience, with technical school/formal training preferred.
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency using a handheld computer (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations in the previous 3 years.
•EPA Universal Certification (required).
