Key Responsibilities

  • •Promote exemplary safety culture by ensuring HSE procedures, regulatory requirements, work permits, LOTO processes, energisation activities, and compliant risk and action follow-up during commissioning phases.
  • •Develop and implement commissioning strategies, plans, procedures, schedules, and milestones aligned with project and operational readiness objectives.
  • •Provide technical leadership and coordinate commissioning activities with Construction, Engineering, Operations, and Project teams.
  • •Coordinate operational readiness and the transfer to operations, including completion management, handover/remise of documentation, and passing assets to operational teams.
  • •Direct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, integrated system testing, performance tests, and resolution of punch lists/anomalies/deficiencies before handover.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Industrial Engineering or related discipline, plus professional engineer registration (or eligibility) as an asset.
  • •Certification in project management or commissioning (PMP, CCMS or equivalent).
  • •At least 10 years’ experience in major mining, industrial, energy, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects, including pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, performance testing, operational readiness, and transfer to operations.
  • •Strong experience directing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders, with proven operational readiness, interface management, and project-to-operations transition in complex or remote environments.
  • •Deep knowledge of commissioning methodologies, completion and handover systems, EPC/EPCM project delivery, and leadership in HSE, risk management, and asset reliability (RCM, RCA, FMEA, continuous improvement).
