Key Responsibilities

  • •Advance the Acoustics & Mechanics Engineering function across computational and experimental tools and methodologies for commercial HVAC products.
  • •Develop structural and structural dynamic simulation models to predict structural modes, dynamic response, stress, strain, deformation, and fatigue using FEA and/or other methods.
  • •Plan and conduct structural and structural dynamic tests including modal analysis, steady state and transient vibration, rotating machinery testing, strength tests, and component fatigue with data collection and analysis.
  • •Correlate simulation/prediction models with test data to improve prediction accuracy and validate models.
  • •Work with product engineers and test teams to design reliable, durable products and to propose and supervise test implementations, ensuring valid data interpretation and formal reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) and at least 2-years of work experience in structural dynamics.
  • •Formal coursework in mechanics of materials, vibration, structural dynamics, numerical simulation methods, and digital signal processing.
  • •Experience with structural engineering design and technical problem-solving with simulation and tests.
  • •Knowledge of dynamics of machinery design, testing, and optimization.
