Job Summary

Set up, operate, and maintain injection molding equipment to keep molds clean, properly installed, and production-ready. Troubleshoot basic mold issues, verify electrical/water/air hookups, test molds, and maintain mold heaters and components. Keep accurate maintenance records, maintain a clean and safe work area, and assist Tool Room staff with repairs and inspections, including green-tagging molds that meet standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate molding presses and open/close molds for production needs and repairs.
•Set, pull, clean, and inspect molds to ensure proper installation and readiness for production.
•Troubleshoot basic mold-related issues and verify nozzle length, carriage settings, clamp stops, and safety features.
•Confirm electrical, water, and air hookups are functioning properly and test molds for performance before release.
•Maintain mold maintenance records, keep work areas clean and safe, and assist Tool Room staff with mold and equipment repairs.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/GED equivalent and a valid driver’s license.
•Previous experience in a technically challenging environment, including identifying, selecting, and using the correct tools (hand, power, standard shop tools).
•Previous injection molding experience strongly preferred, including identifying mold components and applying conceptual knowledge to practical processes.
•Must provide your own basic hand tools.
•Ability to solve problems, communicate in English, and accurately record precision measurements (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
