Key Responsibilities

  • •Fabricate tables, workstations, carts, tool stands, poke yoke devices, fixtures, ergonomic assists, safety devices, and other quality/productivity/safety improvements.
  • •Modify existing equipment to improve its usefulness in the process.
  • •Work with operators to convert improvement ideas into workable, safe solutions.
  • •Repurpose old or scrapped equipment to be reused safely.
  • •Support Kaizen events and assist operations in problem-solving issues affecting takt attainment, ensuring solutions meet OSHA safety and ergonomic standards.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of experience as a fabricator, welder (no ASME certification required), machinist, mechanic, maintenance tech, integrator, programmer, or related role.
  • •Proficiency using and maintaining basic fabrication equipment including welders, shears, brakes, torches, band saws, chop/cold saws, table saw, Ohm meter, and PLCs.
  • •Thorough knowledge of machines and tools used for fabrication, welding, and general mechanical repair.
  • •Working knowledge of safely designing, building, and verifying basic mechanical structures and shapes from materials such as wood, steel, and aluminum.
  • •Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety rules and ergonomic guidelines.
