Job Summary

Perform concrete testing and monitor the quality of ready-mixed concrete for field and laboratory operations. Execute ASTM tests (e.g., slump, air, unit weight, temperature, yield), maintain results and statistical data, and conduct hardened concrete testing and aggregate sieve analysis. Coordinate concrete mix adjustments with production staff, ensure calibrated equipment, and provide responsive customer support related to concrete delivery and onsite corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

•Abide by safety rules and promptly report unsafe practices or conditions.
•Work with the operations team to perform quality control operations in accordance with policies and regulations.
•Perform ASTM tests on plastic concrete (slump, air, unit weight, temperature, yield) and maintain test results and statistical data.
•Cast and test concrete specimens from batch plants or job sites, including hardened concrete testing, and input results into quality control software.
•Coordinate mix design adjustments with plant personnel, ensure equipment is calibrated, and provide timely customer service and onsite corrective action support.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required, plus 1–2 years related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination).
•Perform concrete tests and procedures per applicable ASTM standards.
•Obtain/hold ACI Field Testing Technician Level I and other listed certifications; obtain certifications within 12 months of starting.
•Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and able to use database software and the internet for communication and work.
•Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and remedying quality control issues.
