Job Summary

Support EMEA Financial Crime Compliance in Madrid by overseeing governance and coordination of AML committees, performing prudential oversight, and helping set regional market standards for policies and procedures. Contribute to the annual business-wide risk assessment and MLRO Annual Activity reporting aligned with EBA guidance. Assist with internal/external examinations and remediation action plan assessments, ensuring compliance harmonization across legal entities and regions.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage Financial Crimes Compliance elements of the legal entities governance structure, including coordinating AML Committees and providing prudential oversight over branches across Europe.
•Partner with Financial Crimes Risk Management policy/standards to support setting standards for market committees, policies, and procedures across regional market teams.
•Support issuance of the annual business-wide risk assessment and oversee market deployment to ensure harmonization at legal entity/region level.
•Support issuance of the MLRO Annual Activity Report in line with EBA guidelines for the Compliance Officer role.
•Support internal and external examination/audits, coordinating with examiners and stakeholders and assisting with remediation action plan assessments.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in AML/CFT regulatory compliance in the financial services industry with sound knowledge of the 3 lines of defense structure.
•Working knowledge of European and Spanish AML regulations, plus Payment Services regulations and EU regulatory bodies.
•Strong knowledge of the AML/CFT regulatory framework in Europe and Spain.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving approach with strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
•High level Spanish and English proficiency; graduate or relevant professional qualification (Law/Economics, Compliance/AML diploma, CAMS) preferred.
