Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions and operational tooling for distributed enterprise applications and platforms.
  • •Apply SRE principles to improve system stability and operational excellence; monitor and improve KPIs/SLOs and metrics such as MTTR and MTBF.
  • •Diagnose and resolve production incidents, outages, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure issues across mainframe and distributed platforms.
  • •Build and support automation for operational processes, deployments, monitoring, reporting, and remediation using scripting and automation tools.
  • •Partner with engineering and operations teams to implement observability/logging solutions, CI/CD practices, security controls, and modernization initiatives.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 89,250 - 150,250 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of distributed experience with support of complex enterprise applications, platforms, and operational tooling.
  • •Hands-on engineering experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing scalable software solutions.
  • •Experience supporting and optimizing distributed/enterprise platforms using technologies such as Java, Python, SQL, and related frameworks.
  • •Experience with production support practices including incident management, problem management, and change management to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering (or comparable experience) and familiarity with monitoring/observability and cloud infrastructure/distributed systems.
  • •Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required; the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
