Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and their families at assigned installations.
  • •Provide spending plan support for extended absences and develop informational financial materials for participants.
  • •Coordinate and deliver Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle, including pre/post-deployment topics.
  • •Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars and support virtual counseling when authorized.

  • •Bachelor's degree required (may consider associate degree plus 4 years or high school diploma plus 6 years in lieu).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Obtain one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
  • •Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation (and comply with OCI process).
