Job Summary

Operate production equipment at the Metcalfe plant in southern Ottawa, including Rekers (dry side) and strapping/wrapping machines. Maintain quality by following the quality manual, completing production reports, and monitoring product curing. Perform setup changes, machine start-up adjustments, recipe programming, preventive maintenance, cleaning/housekeeping, and team communication while following safety PPE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate the Rekers machine (dry side) and ensure proper functioning.
•Operate the strapping and wrapping machines and ensure proper functioning.
•Follow the quality manual, complete quality/production reports, and oversee product curing.
•Perform setup changes and start-up adjustments; program equipment and save product recipes.
•Carry out preventive maintenance, participate in maintenance/clean-up/housekeeping, and communicate abnormalities; work safely with required PPE.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma.
•Operate manufacturing equipment with at least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
•Wielding, mechanic, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge (asset).
•Teamwork-oriented with mechanical aptitude, initiative, and attention to detail.
•Pass a mechanical aptitude test to validate mechanical aptitude.
