Key Responsibilities

  • •Use NX CAD/CAM to program CNC parts, including 5-axis milling (flank and point milling) for roughing and finishing airfoils, roots, and shrouds.
  • •Verify NC files (e.g., Vericut) and maintain revision control on programs and setup sheets.
  • •Adjust speeds, feeds, and parameters using knowledge of carbide and specialty tooling to maximize tool life on superalloys.
  • •Coordinate manufacturing support with EDM, fast-hole/laser drilling, grinding/polishing, and inspection as applicable.
  • •Design and/or machine simple functional shop components (fixtures, brackets, holders, rigging) and contribute DFM/process improvements to meet productivity goals.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •5+ years of CNC programming experience in NX.
  • •Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
  • •Ability to perform physical job functions including lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying.
  • •Proficiency using NX CAD/CAM to program CNC parts (including 5-axis milling for roughing and finishing airfoils, roots, and shrouds).
