Job Summary

Join Red Hat’s IT Application and Business Delivery team in Raleigh to build cloud-native HTTP and messaging APIs and full-stack web applications for training customers and partners. You’ll design, develop, test, operate, and maintain enterprise API management and integration solutions, leveraging Java/Python, Spring frameworks, and REST services. Work with local and remote teams, standardize OpenShift deployments, model data, and support production through an L3 rotation.

•Apply AI tools and agentic workflows to streamline team processes like automating code generation and routine testing.
•Design, develop, document, test, maintain, and operate message-based middleware and HTTP services in cloud and dedicated data centers.
•Build Java and Python applications and RESTful web services using Spring MVC and Spring Security.
•Collaborate with domain and application development teams to implement requirements and standardize OpenShift deployment patterns, tooling, and shared libraries.
•Design data models and database schemas, automate infrastructure management, evaluate open source solutions, and participate in L3 application support rotation.

•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field.

•6+ years working in an agile development environment with continuous integration and distributed source control (Git or Mercurial).
