Key Responsibilities

  • •Embrace and encourage GEMS Core Values and deliver the required curriculum with accurate, up-to-date knowledge.
  • •Plan and deliver quality lessons for different learning styles, and maintain planning/preparation evidence on request.
  • •Establish and maintain curriculum and year plan records, attendance, teaching resources, and assessment plans.
  • •Assess, record, and report student progress and attainment, and use assessment to meet individual student needs.
  • •Ensure GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed; manage behavior and promote students’ wellbeing and learning.
  • •Communicate regularly with parents and appropriate external persons (e.g., Ministry of Education officials), and participate in appraisal, Performance Management, CPD, and co-curricular programmes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Education in Early Years, or Bachelor’s degree plus a Teaching Qualification (PGCE) or Teaching Diploma approved by KHDA.
  • •Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in reputed schools using the American Curriculum, including KG homeroom/classroom teaching.
  • •Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • •Good ICT skills.
  • •IELTS Academic score of 7.5.
