Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment; return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain required paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and facilitate routine service checks, reporting maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle weight operated.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing required by federal and/or state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old and have a clean driving record.
  • •Ability to maneuver a truck and trailer for loading/unloading, and lift/move up to 40 pounds.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; must speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
