Job Summary

Own system engineering activities for medical/consumer electronics products, ensuring teams (including ODM/OEM suppliers) follow the Philips V-model for safe, reliable field performance. Coordinate system integration, define and execute product verification strategy, and translate business/user needs into product requirements. Develop and drive product and element design FMEA documentation, set up the project database for V-model outputs, and communicate V-model maturity to management.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure the product development team (including ODM/OEM suppliers) follows the Philips V-model process for products that are safe and reliable in the field.
•Coordinate system integration activities during design development phases and define the product verification strategy.
•Translate business and user requirements into product requirements and develop system testing and verification activities.
•Develop and follow up on product design FMEA that feeds into element design FMEAs.
•Set up and use the project database to document Philips V-model outputs and communicate V-model maturity to management.

Key Requirements

•Solid system engineering knowledge, including system requirements definition, DFMEA, test protocol, verification & validation (V&V), and reliability analysis.
•5+ years of experience in a product development environment with end-to-end exposure across the product development lifecycle (concept to release).
•Awareness of system integration and system verification planning and execution.
•Ability to build requirement management using Doors or Codebeamer (or similar tools) is preferred.
•Fluency in English (written and verbal) plus strong communication and presentation skills for structured, concise technical documentation.
