Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, compile, and analyze data from the physical work site, surveys, structural plans, blueprints, schematics, data, technical drawings, material sampling, computer-generated reports, and other matrices for field inspection activities.
  • •Under minimal supervision, use test equipment to perform basic inspections of site conditions, equipment, construction, materials, controls, resources, layout, alignment, and elevation to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, codes, and construction.
  • •Perform testing of soil density, concrete air/slump/yield, moisture content, and other required construction tests.
  • •Provide routine technical assistance that accounts for the proper inspection, construction, and functioning of highways, roads, bridges, structures, and/or infrastructure according to design standard specifications.
  • •Assist with verifying change orders, interpretation of contract plans and specifications, recognizing basic construction, engineering, or survey problems and escalating any differences for resolution.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma.
  • •Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-education experience in construction inspection.
  • •Valid state driver’s license.
  • •Highly familiar with construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, processes, methods and techniques.
  • •Highly familiar with construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
