Lead the design, coordination, and delivery of strategic energy sector initiatives in Malawi. Strengthen policy development, support programme delivery, and facilitate collaboration across government institutions, development partners, and private sector stakeholders. Produce technical analyses and briefing materials, monitor performance, and contribute to institutional strengthening. Based in Lilongwe with periodic travel within Malawi.

Key Responsibilities

•Support development and implementation of strategic policy and programme initiatives.
•Contribute to programme planning, implementation frameworks, and delivery approaches.
•Support stakeholder engagement and coordination across multiple institutions.
•Produce technical analyses, recommendations, and briefing materials.
•Support programme monitoring, reporting, and performance management.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Minimum 8 years of experience in policy, advisory, reform, or delivery roles.
•Experience working with government institutions and development partners.
•Demonstrated policy drafting and implementation experience.
•Advanced degree in Public Policy, Economics, Development Studies, Energy Policy, Law, or related field.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, plus excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
