Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare for insemination by setting up collection and inspection equipment (e.g., funnel/tip collection, bird platform, microscope/densimeter).
  • •Retrieve and process males to collect semen and process females to inseminate with precision and care.
  • •Replace males based on fertility numbers and inspect females for evidence of production.
  • •Use microscope/densimeter and visual inspection to determine semen quality and semen quantity.
  • •Perform additional duties as assigned, such as sanitizing areas/vehicles and trimming beaks/vents, and euthanizing weak/ill birds according to policy.
