Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise the daily production of photovoltaic modules in accordance with quality standards and cost-efficient methods.
  • •Support safety procedures and good housekeeping standards, including the 5S system.
  • •Coordinate on-the-job training, identify training opportunities, maintain associate records in Solar Connect, and keep accurate time in the Kronos system.
  • •Utilize manufacturing software for production tracking, maintain product inventory accuracy, and maximize throughput using Theory of Constraints (TOC).
  • •Evaluate manufacturing processes to meet cycle time, eliminate downtime constraints using root-cause analysis, participate in continuous improvement, and conduct performance appraisals.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED required.
  • •Meet one of the six experience criteria, including prior First Solar supervisor/team lead or production technician/coater technician experience, or specified supervisory experience in a manufacturing/warehouse/material inspection setting.
  • •2+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing production/warehouse/inspection capacity (or supervisory experience plus First Solar experience, per the listed criteria).
  • •Strong effective communication and supervisory skills.
  • •Efficient Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
