Job Summary

Provide effective, safe nursing care to a defined group of patients and families, delivering nursing regimes and planning care under a preceptor or designated RN. Use clinical assessment and nursing process to identify outcomes, ensure quality of care, and document direct and indirect services in the electronic medical record. Perform procedures such as immunizations and venous access, follow QCHP/JCI and policy requirements, and collaborate with care teams while addressing patient safety and cultural needs.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide nursing care to a select group of patients and families and plan nursing care under guidance.
•Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and adjusting based on health outcomes and care goals.
•Perform patient assessment, observe illness and medication/treatment reactions, and identify patient safety concerns.
•Deliver direct and indirect patient care, including medication administration and key clinical procedures (e.g., immunizations, phlebotomy, peripheral venous access).
•Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain cooperative relationships with healthcare teams.

Key Requirements

•Provide nursing care using established nursing regimes and develop plans of nursing care under guidance of a preceptor or designated RN.
•Use basic assessment skills to identify signs, symptoms, and normal vs. abnormal characteristics.
•Deliver safe, appropriate patient care to a defined patient population using the nursing process and therapeutic standards.
•Administer medications and therapeutic agents, and perform procedures such as skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiation of peripheral venous access.
•Minimum 3 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
