Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain mainframe architecture for high-scale, data-intensive processing, providing thought and technical leadership on key initiatives. Set and reinforce technical standards, assess platform implementations, and plan upgrades with Operations to improve performance and uptime. Collaborate with peers and management on process improvements, participate in code reviews and unit testing, and support issues in non-prod and production systems while mentoring engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide thought and technical leadership for key initiatives related to mainframe platform development.
•Develop and maintain architecture solutions for large-scale processing of high-volume data.
•Set, communicate, and reinforce technical standards; assess implementations and plan upgrades to meet customer needs.
•Work with Operations to troubleshoot issues, tune environments for optimal performance and uptime, and plan major infrastructure upgrades.
•Participate in code review and unit testing, and support issues in non-prod and production while mentoring engineers.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience with CICS, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and JCL.
•5+ years of CICS System knowledge would be valuable.
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar subject.
•5+ years of experience in information technology.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with less experienced staff.
